Lifeguard Qualifications
The Flagg-Rochelle Park District Aquatic Staff has received water safety training and testing conducted by highly trained American Red Cross instructors. All staff have been through an extensive training course in Lifeguarding, Professional Rescuer CPR, AED and First Aid, and will follow-up with additional in-service training. The Aquatic Manager will conduct drills throughout the summer to evaluate staff performance, knowledge and professionalism on the spot. Periodically, the staff practices rescue techniques during open swim hours. These drills are conducted for the purpose of keeping staff skills sharp and their awareness acute at all times, helping to ensure your safety.
